For extra comfort, ask for a room away from the street. The Matisse room was quiet and had lovely views.

Location: the hotel was close to a '' hill '', the centre of town and the bay. The staff was very welcoming, outstandingly accommodating. The property room was quiet, had a flat-screen TV with cable channels, central heating and a personal safe.

A hidden gem with a view
From the vibrant decor to the fine rooftop terrace, every moment at Casa Frida was a visual treat. Breakfasts were highlights, with delicious, authentic Mexican dishes that changed daily.
The steep hill leading up to Casa Frida was quite the workout, and although taxis were readily available, it was a bit tricky navigating the cobblestones after a full day of exploring.

Casa Frida was a wonderful choice. The location is perfect and the rooms are spacious and clean. Luis was a great host and very helpful. Going back to San Miguel my option will always be Casa Frida. I love it!
There is nothing that I dislike about Casa Frida.

Nice looking small b&b, clean and friendly staff
Very limited amount of hot water (small boiler?) Street is incredibly steep and it is almost not possible to walk to the b&B. You need a car/taxi to go up the street

The staff were as friendly as can be, and breakfast daily was a treat. Got to spend some cozy moments with Diego the cat, bless his heart. My room seemed like a little slice of home, colorful and comfy in all the right ways. Just don't expect soft beds!

Casa Frida offered a cozy escape . The rooftop patio had fine views of the city, perfect for morning coffee. Every morning, I enjoyed a delicious breakfast with fresh fruit, yogurt, and good main courses like chilaquiles and enchiladas. The atmosphere was relaxing, with beautiful decor and spacious rooms. The steep hill leading up to the hotel was quite challenging for me, especially after a long day of exploring. I wish my room had a hairdryer and that the breakfast service was quicker, as I waited a bit longer than expected for my main dish. The charming environment and wonderful breakfasts were great, despite the minor inconveniences.
